The purpose of forming the society is to:- strengthen co-operation in security issues facing the industry - increase communication and promote mutual understanding among members- contribute to improve the business environment in our industry- promote member interaction through organizing various social activities- explore opportunities to reduce expenses through bulk purchasing- exchange credit information to reduce bad debtsThe society has since grown to a total of 45+ active corporate members, representing a majority of reputable distributors of computer products in Western Canada. There are also an increasing number of Associate Members supporting our activities.Membership in the Society is limited to business entities interested in furthering the objectives of the Society and admission must be sponsored by two corporate members in good standing with the Society. The application of any new members must be also be approved by the board of directors. Corporate Members A corporate member must meet the following requirements: - The company must be active in business for one full year. - The company must be in the business of wholesale and distribution of computer related products. A minimum of 70% of total revenues must be related to this activity. - The company must be nominated by two corporate members in good standing with the Society. Associate member must meet the following requirements: - Any business interested in furthering the objectives of the Society. - Must be sponsored by two corporate members in good standing. - Admission must be approved by the board of directors.
